Review of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2

Buds Pro 2 OnePlus superior earbuds

The original OnePlus Buds Pro, which we considered to be the best earbuds in its price range, has been replaced by the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. because despite being the flagship model from OnePlus, they are less expensive than Apple's renowned AirPods Pro. Which OnePlus shamelessly replicates, albeit in black and chrome rather than white.

In addition to the music quality, we were especially happy with the noise cancellation and sound reproduction, although the varied sleep and relaxing noises sounded more like a novelty. The quality was excellent despite the lack of an EQ option.

The quality was excellent, but we were disappointed that there was no EQ.

In partnership with Dynaudio, OnePlus developed the audio for the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

Dynamic audio:

OnePlus has placed an even greater emphasis on sound quality with the Buds Pro 2, which are also waterproof and dustproof and have received IP55 certification. On the development team were acoustic engineers from the Danish business Dynaudio. We have great expectations for the sound quality of the new Buds Pro 2, which are on their way to us for testing because Dynaudio produces studio monitors

Two drivers:

This will improve dynamic performance and give you more control over the sound, particularly the bass. To "enjoy the music as it was recorded in the studio," as stated by OnePlus, is the aim.

The earbuds contain four preset EQ filters that were developed in conjunction with Dynaudio, unlike its predecessors. The press release makes no mention of whether the user can make adjustments himself.

Long-lasting battery:

When you combine the battery life of the plugs themselves with the battery life of the charging case, OnePlus guarantees "crystal clear talks" through the built-in microphones and a total battery life of 39 hours. Fast charging allows you to play for up to 10 hours after just 10 minutes of charging! Furthermore, wireless charging is supported.

The Multipoint feature on the earbuds allows for simultaneous connections with two Bluetooth devices. With Bluetooth 5.3, there is just a 54 millisecond audio delay, which speeds up pairing and improves audio synchronisation when playing games.

Sound reduction techniques

The earplugs' Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology reduces background noise by up to 48 dB over a broad frequency range (up to 4 kHz, at which point the earbuds acoustically attenuate the rest). This implies that you can more easily differentiate human speech from other noises around you.

However, it also means that a higher-frequency sound than you're used to can be produced by the sound reproduction setting. Smart enough to remove the earbuds when you wish to join a conversation with someone else or when you need to hear the traffic around you.

Bluetooth with improved audio

The OnePlus employs the LHDC 4.0 codec to deliver the highest-quality sound through Bluetooth. Huawei created this codec, which competes with Sony's LDAC. With 960 kbps of bandwidth, CD quality is what is intended. Although higher resolutions are available, the frequency range above 20 kHz is not losslessly reproduced.

The Buds Pro 2 contains an in-built hearing test similar to its predecessor, which adjusts the sound to the user's hearing. The hearing aids perform a scan of the ear canal as an added surprise.

enveloping sound

Google's 3D sound is supported by the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and is part of Android 13. The Buds Pro 2's spatial sound has been specially optimised to replicate the immersive surround sound you experience in a movie theatre. The multi-channel audio tracks on Disney+ and YouTube, two streaming services, will also be advantageous to you.

The earbuds benefit from Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking when used with the OnePlus 11 smartphone, which keeps the sound image in place even if you move your head. For 3D sound, stereo sound sources are also "blended." if you desire it.

Two-coloured:

A superior tactile sensation" with the two-toned, matte and metallic OnePlus Buds Pro 2. In other words, the touch feature on the mic stems ought to ostensibly function quite well.

Arbor Green, which matches the green hue of the OnePlus Pad and OnePlus 11, and Obsidian Black, which is obviously black, are the two available colours.
