Uncertainty in the world, people stopped buying smart phones

Due to the economic crisis, inflation and uncertainty, smartphone sales worldwide have fallen to the highest level in a decade.

The sales figures of the devices during the period of October to December 2020 have been released by Canales, an organization that oversees the sale of smartphones.

During the last quarter of last year, the sale of smartphones recorded a seventeen percent drop.

The quarter saw a significant increase in demand for iPhones, making Apple the world's largest phone-selling company, with a market share of 25 percent.

Overall, smartphone sales last year saw an eleven percent drop compared to 2021, which is the lowest figure in ten years.

The top company in terms of phone sales throughout the year was Samsung, followed by Apple.

According to the report, due to the supply chain problems, the production of the devices was lower than the demand, and due to the severe economic situation, people bought less new phones.

According to the report, the year 2022 proved to be a tough year for most smartphone manufacturers.
